I have been experimenting with visual AI platforms and creating prompt libraries as a hobby.
The rapid expansion and accessibility of AI platforms like MidJourney and Runway are truly fascinating, as they facilitate the development of creative and imaginative content. Through my appreciation of art, styles, eras, and related concepts, I have come to understand the pivotal role these elements play in generating images that surpass our wildest dreams. I believe that AI can serve as a source of inspiration, while also recognizing the ethical and moral implications associated with how AGIs acquire and master different art styles.

using ai as a source/tool for inspiration for new ux/ui design
As a UX/Product designer with nearly a decade of experience, I've found that incorporating AI into my workflow can be a refreshing source of inspiration and a useful tool for creating conceptual wireframes. Recently, I experimented with two prompts for AI-generated designs and was able to quickly produce a rough high-fidelity wireframe. With the ability to make numerous iterations in different styles and aesthetics, the process became even more efficient
While AI is undoubtedly a helpful tool, it's important to remember that our ability to cleverly use established design patterns will set us apart from other designers and even AI (for now). The left side of the image displays the original AI-generated design, while the right side shows my design based on the AI-generated image.
As designers, it's important to embrace the inevitability of AI and utilize it as a valuable source of inspiration. In my experience, Mid Journey has significantly reduced our ideation time and eliminated the need to scour multiple inspirational websites.
